Intermap Technologies (IMP.to), a digital mapping company, creates three dimensional (3D) digital models of the earth’s surface by using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IFSAR) mapping technology for private industry, governments, and individual consumers worldwide.
It remaps various countries and builds a uniform national database, NEXTMap, consisting of elevation data and geometric images. Further, it provides online GIS tools, including terrain analyst tool that allows to find locations or get the height, a profile along a line, or viewshed of the terrain using a Web browser; risk assessment portal, which provides access to Web-based tools that allows to perform natural hazard risk assessment based on the flood hazard maps across various countries; and network planner tool that helps to optimize wireless network design by identifying obstructions penetrating the fresnel zone or blocking the lines of sight between towers.
